Seattle school renames Easter eggs 'Spring Spheres'

In other news:

The park district near me is having a spring egg hunt.  Can't figure out why they'd want to have it in the spring. Are eggs cheaper then?  Wait it's not related to that Easter thing is it?

But these same scumbags would still call Ramadan "Ramadan", right?
I'm almost looking forward to hearing about some Catholics beheading people like this. After all, they (libiots) have proved beyond the shadow of a doubt that violence does, in fact, settle some things!

This has got to be the stupidest story i've read in a while.... ::hysterical::

I hope the teacher who called the easter eggs "spring spheres" became red with embarrassment as the kids knew what they were. Too bad the teenager didn't tell the teacher....The yokes on you.

Next thing you know, we won't be able to call them eggs....possibly unviable tissue mass??????

Catchy bit of alliteration there, but someone ought inform them, the edumacation eggsperts that they are, that the items in question are ovoids, not spheres.

Just when you think it's impossible for them to get more stupid with this type of crap.

Here in my town, in suburban Phoenix, we have a "spring holiday" every year, on the school calendar. It always manages to fall on Good Friday. What an amazing coincidence, huh?

That's a perfect example of how truly asinine it is, these Orwellian straitjackets they're trying to keep around everyone's conscious minds. Not only do they assiduously purge any acknowledgment of Judeo-Christian beliefs or holidays, they purge even the mere names. How ridiculous is that? Referring to something by name is not an endorsement of the thing, it's just identifying it by what everyone knows it as. I remember a few years ago all the Christmas ads from Lowes Home Improvement even called Christmas trees (which they freely and enthusiastically sold) "Holiday Trees". They can't even call them Christmas trees? Well what the hell else are they? December 25th Trees?

Even if you take the pre-Christian history of the Yule tree into account, it has for so long since then been adopted into the Christian celebration of Jesus' birth that they are universally known as Christmas trees. This sort of thing, the deliberate renaming of things into patently absurd euphemisms, is seriously a case of mass psychosis in my opinion. The sheer unreality of it is difficult to describe, but I can tell you one thing: I am sick of it. Sick of it.

I'm feeling rather like they need a swift kick to the spheres.

Quite right , Pan . A sphere is an object which is the same shape when viewed from any perspective . Therefore the administators of that school could properly be described as "Spherical Idiots" .

Proglodytes...

The original nonviable tissue mass!

They think everyone should be like them, ovoids entrenched deeply up their lower cavity!

Only in that enlightened position can they truly escape the ugliness of belief, morals and values that those darn Christian's keep flaunting in their faces!

God, I was thinking the exact same thing. What frikking morons these people are. They surpass themselves in their own stupidity on a daily basis.
"A strict observance of the written laws is doubtless one of the high duties of a good citizen, but it is not the highest. The laws of necessity, of self-preservation, of saving our country when in danger, are of higher obligation. To lose our country by a scrupulous adherence to written law, would be to lose the law itself, with life, liberty, property and all those who are enjoying them with us; thus absurdly sacrificing the end to the means."

- Thomas Jefferson
