saving mr. banks
« on: December 18, 2013, 09:20:05 PM »
I don't know about anyone else, but I have been an admirer of Walt Disney since I received my first Cinderella watch as a young girl in the 50's.

there is a new movie being peddled lately about the making of Mary Poppins and the actor selected to play Walt is tom hanks.

I have read much about Disney and it is well known that his political and cultural leanings were to the right to say the least.

I cannot bring myself to watch this movie since I believe Walt would be spinning in his grave to have his image being portrayed by such a socialist sycophant.

In fact, I have decided to not watch, purchase or in anyway support those entertainers, no matter their talent, in any financial way because every dollar that I spend on them has the potential of being recycled by them into some leftist political agenda or campaign.

I can live without a tom hanks performance, but he, like Alex Baldwin has chosen to use his public cache to bolster his political agenda and any financial support he gets, will not be coming from someone he would personally find offensive.

Walt Disney (in center, no coat) arriving at the Coast Guard Air Station San Diego when I was stationed there. He wanted to see the CGC EAGLE under sail for a possible movie. Didn't happen, but I did see him.

I have to agree with Whims...Hanks is tainted...I don't know if I can watch him portray anybody I might like or find interesting...it would gnaw at me...

There's just something about Hanks that hits me the wrong way. I don't like him.

In light of the kerfuffle recently with the duck dynasty, I believe that if more good ol americans voiced their displeasure with the entertainment industry through boycotts, protests and just refusing to purchase their leftis crap we would have a better chance at reclaiming an industry that has served as the propaganda arm of the socialists of America.  why would we want to give them any of our money, you know where it ends up, supporting some screwed up agenda hell-bent on destroying our culture
