I don't understand how it is even a matter of contention. States have constitutional authority over how they conduct national elections.

This of course is a positive step, however, the issue isn't where he was born, the issue is in international law for the last two centuries, the father of said child conveys his citizenship to the child. A naturally born citizen must be one that both parents are US citizens. That's the issue being presented in court cases which carries the law which is why they continue to throw out the cases because like liberals ::lalanotlistening::In any event, Stanly Ann Dunham was to young to convey her's as the 1961 law states.

I wonder if the next President can file suit.

If this is one of (or the only) state(s) to have this law, I could see Duh Wun's criminally partisan DOJ challenge it, and even if upheld, I could see him skipping that state and still gather electoral votes in the remaining states.  I am of course making the assumption that no data is supplied during discovery that is embarrassing or compromising to him (even if it has to be manufactured).

It should be the case for the election of every elective officer in all of our states and territories to produce legal proof of citizenship, from dog catcher up to president!

Without Az he can win.  If this law is accepted before the election it is quite possible a big electoral state will pass a similar law.  That's when the cheese gets binding.
