Yeah, Rush is really good at doing these too. The thing with the "buying presents for yourself" story shown in this video is that it's probably some syndicated schlock that the different member organizations repeat to their respective markets, making it tolerable if incredibly cheesy. But we all know it goes much deeper. They do the same thing with supposedly hard news, and they do it to establish and promulgate a desired narrative. They've been the gatekeepers of information (and more significantly, how to interpret that information) for far, far too long. The emergence of a guerrilla media online has put them on notice, and that's why you now see efforts from Feinstein et al to have the government regulate who is a "real journalist".
I enjoy their death throes.
