A rise in vigilantism as a response to rising criminal behavior (I mean outside of city hall, in the streets of NYC!) can't be too far behind, eh?  Let's see how these gun-grabbing clowns deal with that...and the exodus out of this shythole and the massive tax increases coming for those stupid enough to remain behind...

It could become really hilarious!

Mayor Kook (De Blasio) is at it again!  Its time for the teachers union payoff.

De Blasio Floats NINE year teachers contract,  with over 3 billion in raises.    Yes,  NINE years and over 3 billion in raises!   Never mind that the city cannot afford the pay they are paying already........

And the bonus,   "back pay" (aka,  more raises) for the years of no contract under bloomie................

http://www.nationalreview.com/article/373389/de-blasio-floats-nine-year-teacher-contract-alec-torres

I sure would love a raise.   Haven't had one in about 15 years.  Must be nice.

Public pay should be frozen until the private sector pay catches up.

Oh,  for your information,  I will be calling De Blasio,  Mayor Kook from now on.   It's just easier that way.

sunshine is the best antiseptic

let the communists have their day and just like obama, rational people will behold the nature of the extreme left and understand the true danger. I say allow the lefties to be as extreme as they want to totally expose the  absurdity and unworkability of their beliefs.

Funny, in another age I would have had more justifiable faith in my fellow citizens to see clearly, interpret properly and respond correctly...

But that was then...now, the extreme becomes mainstream through a variety of processes and the nation slouches ever lower...

Yet another of NYC mayor douchebag moves.   Builds tall, ugly,  illegal privacy fence (at taxpayer expense) at Gracie Mansion.   No building permit,  no historic board review etc etc.   All stuff that building code enforcers would make you remove if you did it that way you private citizen chump.

It's still a little early for popcorn, but apparently never early enough for drama queens.

Da Commish weighs in (like a spastic bull in a china shop):

http://www.mediaite.com/tv/nypd-commish-defendde-blasio-from-police-union-attacks/

And Cuomo adds his .02:

http://nypost.com/2014/12/15/cuomo-defends-cops-barring-de-blasio-from-funerals/

Cuomo insists that everyone will kiss and make up "by the next funeral" and suggests that it's all just a misunderstanding - while standing on the side of the cop union boss.

I have no idea who this will unfold but I hope that it includes full-contact politicking. I'd love to see some blue flu.

His Honnah is also throwing out portraits in the mayoral mansion (many of which were painted by historically significant artists) because there's too many white men depicted in them.

Regarding the police, I have mixed feelings on that. On the one hand their unions have always been a big part of the Democrat machine, and the police have been perfectly willing to be the enforcers of metastasizing government for the past century, so I sort of have a reflexive  ::) reaction to this Thin Blue Line self-regard we frequently see out of them and their worshipers.  I'm also not at all cool with the fact that a man died after an altercation with them over the unforgivable crime of selling loose cigarettes (i.e. serving market demand in a punitive tax environment). The police are one of many government entities to have exhausted their supply of benefits of the doubt as far as I'm concerned.

But on the other hand, if I'm a cop and I spend every shift up close and personal with genuine scumbags, I'm not going to take kindly to Monday Morning Quarterbacks dissecting my performance from their tony estates, never having developed so much as a callous on their perfumed hands ever in their lives. So I do get the FOAD attitude from the union.

I'm with G, I think what needs to happen is for a civil war to break out in the LEO ranks, until one side clearly emerges victorious I am indifferent as to who to root for or against.  In the meantime if some Progs are harmed in full-contact politicking (good term 'Soup!) then hooray for a popcorn moment.

Guys, the more I see of this New York Mayor, the more I am convinced he is a plant.  Voter fraud is really controlling our elections these days.  When they really want to they can put just about anyone in office they want to.

His behavior is consistent with the effort to show that all LEOs and their leadership is racist and corrupt.  This will lead to a national police force which is what they are after.  At that point we are done.

I believe Washington is pulling his strings and controls everything he says and does.
