Krauthammer: If ObamaCare Is Financially Sound, Why Are Insurance Companies ‘Scared To Death’ About Not Getting A Bailout?

Syndicated columnist Charles Krauthammer made an appearance on the Special Report All Star Panel last night to discuss the latest number, as released by the Department of Health and Human Services, of ObamaCare enrollees. The HHS basically bragged about the fact that there are enough young people signing up for ObamaCare to cover the costs of the law.

“It sounds like a lot of happy talk,” Kruathammer said. “This is what we used to call ‘rosy scenario’.”

“First of all,” he continued, “Humana Health reports that the adverse selection, i.e. the lack of enough young and healthies, is worse than they expected.”

“Second,” Krauthammer said, “if all of this is true, if all of this is exactly as expected, nobody is worried, it’s like what happened in Massachusetts, why are the insurers and HHS running around scared to death that the move to eliminate the bailout ? the government bailout of insurers ? is under way?”

There will not be ANY private insurers once this is all over.  And hospitals and their employees will just be slaves to the federal government.

I'm tired of the wonkish talking-around-the-problem. The SC Congressman who yelled out "You lie!" had the right idea from the beginning. That's how these people need to be dealt with. Call them out for what they are. Enough of this collegial "Why, old chap, if this is the case then why is such and such happening?" benefit of the doubt.

They're in the process of executing an economic coup, the first wave of economic nationalization and state central planning. And it's all happening exactly as intended! Enough of this "look how inept they are" snickering. They're not inept. They know exactly what they're doing.

The Republican commentariat seems to always think they've finally found a gotcha, whether it's the unfolding disaster that is ObamaCare, Fast & Furious, Benghazi, whatever. Great. Go ahead and hold some more meaningless congressional hearings so Obama's operatives can openly lie to your face or refuse to answer. Go ahead. We all know y'all won't do anything about it. Am I right, Congressman Issa?

The better course of action is j'accuse! They're dissembling, mendacious snakes. Call them that. Every day. What good is it to engage in technocratic dissection of ObamaCare when you know nothing is going to be done about it?

Agreed.  They are playing by rules c.1960 and the hardcore progressives in the DemonRat party are playing by no rules.

Actions speak louder than words...and the words employed by the so-called opposition aren't worth a cold bucket of dreck.

"You Lie!"   Damn right, and there should be every tangible consequence being employed to back up the truth in the accusations!

The lack of any tangible words and deeds is why this nation will allowed to be utterly destroyed by progressives.

It's infuriating and frustrating watching this, it is a form of torture...I'd just as soon get on with the final conflict already...
