Rock Salt Stolen

You know,  this also looks a lot like what folks might do if they were trying to sabotage infrastructure.  As does the theft of copper cable from electric transmission lines.  The beautiful thing about such resistance is its indistinguishable from normal criminal activity.. except for the fact that the stolen goods never seem to be fenced anywhere..

So how do you fence 80 Tons of rock salt?

In twenty-five-pound increments in another state?

It's expensive up north now; fifty pounds of ice-melt (not rock salt, precisely, and less damaging to concrete) ran about $27 and change in December.

They don't even have to directly profit from it, just spread it around, let other people spread the wealth.   ;D
