Rep. John Dingell Jr. (D) MI, will finally retire, after becoming the longest "serving" congressmen. He has held his seat since 1955! Yes, 1955! He was 29 when he entered office. He is now 87.
And he replaced his father Dingell Sr. who died in office. He had held that seat since 1932!!

Here's to hoping his replacement isn't still holding this office in 2073. And there isn't another Dingell that will now take this seat.
