Dingell to FINALLY retire!
« on: February 24, 2014, 03:21:44 PM »
Rep. John Dingell Jr. (D) MI,  will finally retire,  after becoming the longest "serving"  congressmen.    He has held his seat since 1955!   Yes,  1955!    He was 29 when he entered office.  He is now 87.

And he replaced his father Dingell Sr.  who died in office.   He had held that seat since 1932!!

No one should hold an office that long.  His dad held it too long,  and Jr. held it even longer.

Best comment he makes "I am not going to be carried out feet first,  I don't want people to say I stayed too long."

How he thinks almost 60 years isn't too long.........................

Here's to hoping his replacement isn't still holding this office in 2073.   And there isn't another Dingell that will now take this seat.

It is an absolute disgrace that the idiots in his district allowed him to live very well off of their dimes.
I'm entitled (to be cranky).

I hear that his wife may go for the seat.
In a doomsday scenario, hippies will be among the first casualties. So not everything about doomsday will be bad.

By 2073, I don't think there will be a seat to worry about.

COME ON voters,  you have let this horrible family represent you since 1932!   She should be the last person to replace this guy!   She is 60 so she will probably hold the seat another 20+ years!

Once a polytarded proglodyte always a polytarded proglodyte.

The problem isn't one candidate, the problem is the disease.
