I have had good luck with cars..
My first car was a 68 Camaro (non rally sport - only had a 327 engine. I have never seen another) hand-me-down I was allowed to use (sucks huh) I was probably conceived in it, but neither parent would admit to that. The LACK of seatbelts saved my mothers life - it was side swiped and my mother was thrown to the other side of the car. The door was in the drivers seat. It was repaired and I never had any issued with it. My mother ( a libtard) sold it to a dealer on a trade-in while I was at a concert. It was, after all her car, but I, and my cousins never forgave her for not offering someone the chance to buy it.
The care she traded it for? A Pontiac J2000. Never heard of it? Yeah. Didn't expect so. I called it the golf cart. It lost a fuel pump on me once. But then, I didn't own it.
After I left for College, my mother got rid of it because my libtard sister had to have something better - a Chevy Sprint. I drove that to my summer job all though college (lawnmowing) , and ended up driving it most of the time when my sister left to spend a year in Europe. A Cowbow action figure went through one of my mowers and he only lost his hat. After that "Dangerous Bob" as he was dubbed sat on the dash and protected that car.. That little 3 cylinder rubber band engine did really well when you were the only one in the car ( with 4 it was less impressive) got 40+ mpg, and ran for 300,000 without major issues ( CV boots needed to be replaced once) before my sister finally sold it.
Then I borrowed my mothers Jeep Cherokee Limited ( it was the new hand me down) - 22 mpg, 4 wheel drive- and best jeep I have ever owned. That one ened up with a step sister and is still going ( without major problems) at 180K.
Finally I grew up, got a job and bought a toyota truck. Served me well till the woman I was dating rolled it driving home on ice while I was drunk. That woman came to be my wife, and whenever she gave me crap about my driving, I would ask her how many cars she has rolled.. but that stopped working when I rolled or 2008 Dodge Dakota with the whole family inside ( just after I was saying how much I liked that truck..) - of course no one was hurt. Not a bruise. So, yeah, it was a good truck. We bought another- same year and model, but something with the suspension isn't as good as the old one..not bad, but not as good.
After the toyota we bought another Jeep Cherokee. Other than having the annoying habit of draining batteries when it sits unused ( by design I might add) that one is now the Off-Road, "I really don't want to take my shiny truck up this " hunting vehicle. Its been my "worst car" - actually loosing an engine bracket and trying to bounce the transmission and engine block out of the car, and for some reason it just needs more work than everything else, but it hasn't been a bad car. Nothing ever got broken so bad it needed a tow. but it smells pretty badly of wood rat now ( one made a home there) but its over 180K now and still running, or would be if I fished the mouse out of the coolant reservoir and put a new battery in
Michelle's car was a ford festiva she had bought from her sister. After we bought the jeep it became my "get to the airport and back" car.. That little bucket us ugly and load, but never broke down. The pressure in the engine was wrong- it blew the cap right off - so Michelle's solution was -- to leave it off. And it ran fine. Yes, the engine compartment was messy but it leaked surprisingly little oil and ran really well - but 250K on it before we donated it to Big Brothers of Denver.
And then we Bought a 2000 Saturn LS new. I like rubber band engines. Again, no major problems. Still gets 40+ mpg , almost 100K, not a single major problem. Even the battery lasted 2 years longer than it should have. Its a great commuter car, and goes well with one person. Again not so stellar with 4 , but good enough.
Knock on wood they will also continue to be trouble free.
Of course the car I miss but I could never justify replacing? that 68 Camaro.
