Need some low-tech security measures I see.  Some sort of mechanical back up that makes them bleed once they enter the vehicle unawares would be nice...leave a trail of DNA...

"Police don't know what it is?"  How stupid are they?  Most newer cars, especially high end cars, use a key-less entry system.  Like a key fob that transmits a radio frequency that allows a person with the fob to either push a button on the fob to unlock or just grab the handle and the door automatically unlocks.  That same fob allows a key-less ignition to start the car.  My 2006 Corvette has such a system, and they are very popular in high end cars.  This box is just a rotating frequency transmitter and they allow it to cycle through a particular makes assigned frequencies till they hit the one for that car and unlocks it.
