Unfortunately, politics has seeped into many places it has no business being in. Those INTO politics 24/7 has ensured that. Since they believe, that they know all, so much more, then the great unwashed. Government has encroached on so many aspects of life, its so ridiculous if you think about it a minute.
Its happened so slowly over the last one hundred years, most people accept it without even questioning it.
Does the government have any business in how much water a toilet uses? No, but it does anyway.
