GONZALES — Acting on a tip that a 14-year-old girl was being prostituted for drugs and money, Ascension Parish sheriff’s deputies raided a Donaldsonville home Tuesday and arrested three people.

Deputies issued a warrant for a fourth suspect, Gregory Hardin, 28, when they couldn’t locate him.

The arrests were the culmination of a three-month investigation into allegations that the girl was being prostituted out of Lakeisha Marshall’s house at 1305 McKinley St., Donaldsonville, said Tony Bacala, chief deputy of the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office.

Investigators also said the teenager was taken to New Orleans and other south Louisiana cities for prostitution by two people, Trenace Tyler, 19, and Wendell Walker, 46, Bacala said.

In another case, seven people — six men and one woman — have been arrested over the past few weeks in the repeated rape and sexual assault of a 12-year-old girl that occurred in both East and West Baton Rouge parishes that possibly began in the spring, though court records are inconclusive.

The victim’s mother, whose name has not been released, was issued a summons Friday for contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile.

600 People Involved in Movie Theater Brawl, 5 Arrested

Five teenagers were arrested when a 600-person brawl broke out in a Florida movie theater's parking lot on Christmas night.

Described by police as a "melee," the fight occurred around 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday outside the Hollywood River City 14 movie theater in Jacksonville when a group tried to storm the theater's doors without purchasing tickets, police said. Several had rushed an off-duty police officer working as a security guard.

The officer "administered pepper spray to disperse the group, locked the doors and called for backup, following protocol," said Lauri-Ellen Smith, a spokeswoman for the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.

Soon after the pepper spray was used, "upward of 600 people moving throughout a parking lot about the size of a football field began fighting, disrupting and jumping on cars," she said.

Sixty-two police officers were called to the scene to break up the brawl, "sequestering them and separating them," Smith said.

Tevyn Alonza Davis, 19, was charged with resisting arrest and breach of the peace. Jaquade Marquis Miller, 18, was charged with fighting and resisting arrest. Khalil Ahmad Bradley, 17, the only minor charged with a felony, was arrested for resisting arrest, refusal to disperse and breach of the peace.

    Holder’s justice department is enabling the black predator.

    The majority of black felons go early into a life of crime in the belief they’ve been shortchanged due to white oppression.

    After they’ve been acculturated early into the thug life, they pick up this fantasy while listening to a relative, a rapper, a preacher, a fellow inmate or any race hustler, otherwise known as “community activist.”

    The fact that they have harmed others destroyed their communities never crosses their minds.

    Holder’s enabling will further help the black street predator rationalize that they have a green light to prey on whites with impunity.

More fukcing animals: shopping with a dead baby. [url]

(CBS/WBBM) CHICAGO - Chicago police say 20-year-old mother Toyrianna Smith killed her infant son when he would not stop crying and then took the dead infant shopping with her.

Police say Smith took her her 3-year-old daughter and 3-month-old son to a friend's home where she hung out with her friends, drank liquor and had her hair done, according to CBS station WBBM.

Later that night she stumbled into her room and slept. During the night her son, Ken Blackman Jr., began to cry. When Smith woke up, she allegedly slapped him in the face repeatedly and put a blanket over his head.

The child cried a second time. Authorities say Smith once again slapped him and put a blanket over his face, pressing down until his arms began jerking and he stopped crying.

Prosecutors said friends asked the next morning why the baby was not moving and she said he was asleep.

In the morning she allegedly dressed Ken and put him in a Baby Bjorn, then took the dead infant with her while she shopped for several hours.

A neighbor noticed blood on the child's blanket and thought the child was not breathing and called police.

The death was ruled a homicide by suffocation and an autopsy estimated the child was dead for up to 14 hours.

Smith allegedly confessed to the murder and demonstrated for police how she struck and suffocated the child.

A preliminary hearing has been set for July 14.

Gonzales police arrest teen ‘thieves of opportunity’

A foursome of teenagers dubbed “thieves of opportunity” by Gonzales police have been arrested on accusations they stole at least 10 vehicles and took belongings from more than a dozen mostly unlocked cars in Ascension Parish over the past month.

Detective Sgt. Stephen Nethken, a Gonzales police spokesman, said the thieves would drive around in the early morning hours looking for unlocked cars or vehicles left running to defrost windows and windshields.

Sometimes, they’d find keys left in unlocked cars, Nethken said.

On Jan. 2, police arrested a 16-year-old boy after the stolen car he was riding in crashed into a Gonzales police unit. Questioning of the boy led investigators to others connected to the burglaries and thefts, Nethken said.

North Miami Beach Man Fatally Shot After Fight Over Utensils Breaks Out at Baptism 

Victim Wilson Alexis, 21, was shot after he tried to break up the fight.

A 21-year-old man was fatally shot as he tried to break up a fight over food and utensils at a baptism party for a 5-month-old in North Miami Beach, police said.

The shooting happened early Sunday morning at 15880 NE 15 Avenue when a group of uninvited guests showed up after the party was announced on social media site TAGGED, according to North Miami Beach Police. Those who showed up had no ties to the family, police said.

An argument started between one of the uninvited guests and a kitchen helper over the lack of utensils and food, so the homeowner told everyone to leave.

Police said they were originally called to the scene at 4:07 a.m. regarding a fight, but the call escalated into a shooting as officers were on their way.

Four to five women started to physically fight with one of the men, so Wilson Alexis tried to intervene, police said. At some point, two shots were fired and one of them struck Wilson Alexis, according to police.

He was taken to Ryder Trauma Center where he later died.

“Something so insignificant turned into someone getting killed,” Thomas Carney, North Miami Beach Director of Police Services, told the Miami Herald. “It’s really sad.”

According to the newspaper, Alexis left his North Miami Beach home after 10 p.m. and said a friend was picking him up to go to a party.

“He was a good boy; he never got in trouble,” the victim's father, Francoeur Alexis, told the Herald.

4AM?  For a baptism party? WTF?
