Does this go in 2A?  Judiciary and courts?  World events?  We actually need a "does this boggle yer mind or whuuut?" category.

CBS News has learned that the Mexican Government has retained an American law firm to explore filing civil charges against U.S. gun manufacturers and distributors over the flood of guns crossing the border into Mexico.

--- Quote ---On November 5, 2010 President Felipe Calderon expressed his frustration to CBS News correspondent Peter Greenberg: "We seized more than 90,000 weapons...I am talking like 50,000 assault weapons, AR-15 machine guns, more than 8,000 grenades and almost 10 million bullets. Amazing figures and according to all those cases, the ones we are able to track, most of these are American weapons."

According to sources, investigators will obtain makes and serial numbers of guns seized by Mexican authorities and trace them to their U.S. distributors and manufacturers.

The bolded portion is the important bit they try to gloss over. Of course the traceable ones are mostly American. Or are ex-military weapons from China and South America easily traceable? And most of those American weapons were sold to the Mexican government itself. Their own endemic corruption is what has diverted them to cartel hands.

Know one thing, this would never have even made it to the "trial balloon" stage of discussion if we had an administration that actually put American interests at the top of its priority list. This sort of thing, the interference in domestic American policies by foreign interests, is exactly one of the goals of the global socialist movement.

John Florida:
I think they should be taking Napolitano and Holder to court over their gun issues. At least they would be going after gun traffickers.

Pandora:
What gets me is it's Duh Wun and his administration throught the ATF that "let slip" a boatload of guns into Mexico and Calderone is going after our gun manufacturers??!

After Operation Gunrunner is made public and with Grassley holding hearings?

I don't know what the hell the law firm is thinking, besides $$$$, but this is UNsane.

IronDioPriest:
My AR-15 hasn't flooded across the border. Its still in my locker right where I put it.
