The Chicago Tribune is reporting that baseball's (and former Cubs manager) Don Zimmer has passed at age 83.     His baseball career spanned 6 decades.

He was one of the great old time guys...one of the last links to a all but forgotten era of baseball...

His third to last game as a MLB player came against the Twins when he was a Senator...1/4 and 3 of Kaat's 10 strike outs that day.

Back when I used to pay attention to baseball, I was a Cubs Fan, Bud Man, all the way.

I believe he was one of the few people who could set off a metal detector...with his head.   ::hysterical::

RIP...a great one.
