I think the most frustrating part of this is that the statists and their apologists contend that this sort of thing
is due process. Why, Congress granted authority to these regulatory agencies, and Congress is elected by the people, hence the people have granted imprimatur to the bureaucracy. What's the problem?
And sure, a small farmer growing corn on his own land to feed his own livestock is subject to virtually limitless regulation under the penumbra of interstate commerce. Hell, I bet some of that air you draw into your lungs with every breath drifted in from another state, so we'll call that interstate commerce too.
The dismantling of our constitutional republic actually occurred a surprisingly long time ago, I think it's just that we've only recently acquired a political class determined to finalize the process.
Ask yourselves, is there anything the government cannot do? Not only will they violate every supposed constraint put on them, they'll concoct some convoluted legalism to justify it.
