Found this PDF with some great info on .380 testing.

They all look pretty terminal to me.

I have HPs in Hydra-Shok & Hornady and their performance looks good, and FMJs in American Eagle but mostly Winchester.  Can't recall if I have GoldDots in .380.

That wound channel with the golden sabre is impressive, and though they didn't have a pic of it, numerically the Winchester JHP wound channel appears to be greater.  That Glaser safety slug shotgun spread is impressive, how it penetrates different clothing layers before expanding is a bit of a mystery to me.  Does that ball punch through first?  Maybe that'll work...seems an odd design for .380 though.

Nice find Alan.   ::thumbsup::

I wouldn't bother with Glaser safety slugs, or the similar products like MagSafe. Not only are they ridiculously overpriced, they have lousy penetration. They would probably produce a very nasty but shallow wound.

In the .380 I also have Hornady Critical Defense, and Gold Dots too.  I'm sort of rethinking even those, though, since .380 has such limited penetration ability.  I'm thinking about just going with FMJ in that caliber.
