Quote
Most Costco stores WND contacted Monday had already pulled “America” from the shelves, with others scheduled to remove it with their regularly scheduled inventory changes Tuesday or Wednesday this week.

A few Costco stores told inquirers Monday they were “in luck,” because a handful of books were still available and a few copies remained in the warehouse waiting to be returned. Staffers offered to put aside a book so it could be purchased before all copies were shipped back to the vendor.

WND contacted by telephone and email Costco’s national book-buyer, Pennie Clark Ianniciello, at Costco’s headquarters, but received no response to WND’s questions regarding why D’Souza’s book was being pulled from the shelves just as the companion movie was opening in theaters.

WND was unable to reach by phone or email Marji Ross, the president of Regnery, which published D’Souza’s book.

Oh come on, they never carry any book more than a week or two.  World Nut Daily needs a better cause than normal Costco turnover.

Since I've never seen a Costco, I guess I'm not missing much.

Costco is a known supporter of Leftist causes, so I don't shop there anyway.
"A strict observance of the written laws is doubtless one of the high duties of a good citizen, but it is not the highest. The laws of necessity, of self-preservation, of saving our country when in danger, are of higher obligation. To lose our country by a scrupulous adherence to written law, would be to lose the law itself, with life, liberty, property and all those who are enjoying them with us; thus absurdly sacrificing the end to the means."

So is Cub, Target, WalMart, and anyone else.  You can't get away from the rot in society.

You pick your battle with the worst of the worst.  Mozilla was such a battle.  Comcast is worthy of my dissing.  Costco, not so much.

Bringing that argument to American Thinker got me mass deleted.

I loath censoring cowards.  I loath them even more when they're supposedly on my side.

I was wrong about American Thinker.  Thinking is not allowed, there.

I got banned from AT too, a couple years ago. I don't even remember specifically what for, but I remember it was equally loathesome sensorship for expressing a contrary opinion.

Wrong thinking is punished and right thinking is equally rewarded. ::unknowncomic::

Anyway the heartless gutless cowards caved to the pressure suddenly bestowed upon them by patriots willing to go to the mat for conservatives. Not that Libertas and MnHawk aren't patriots, I was just posting an update.

Terrible how everywhere we turn, a scumbag liberal is somehow capitalizing on our patronage. At least in way you can permanently stop them from making money from you ::laserkill::

Yeah, it sucks.  It's really hard to prevent any of our money reaching a fool or two here and there...

Went to the movie on wedsday and I see it as a must see for all of us. At one part in the movie they showed clips(photo ops) and I just sat there sayinf "LIAR" loud enough for the whole theatre to hear it  and all you heard was agreement from the audience.

My wife wasn't too happy with me doing that because she said that I didn't know who was there with us. My answere was that that was the point of doing it.She didn't know that I was well protected if you know what I mean.  ::unknowncomic::

As I said, there are bigger fights to pick than the few books Costco carries, but I did walk past the book table today.

4 stacks of Hillary, looking really silly
2 stacks of Ben Carson
1 stack of Ed Klein
1 stack of Brad Thor's latest
0 stacks of D’Souza

I'd say it it really isn't ideological and it's the President of Costco being a mindless fanboi of the Clintons more than anything.

I stopped in to check at our local CostMo - my results mirrored MNHawk's. So I asked. No one that I talked to knew (or admitted to) what I was asking - "Do you have D’Souza’s book ‘America’?"

I added "or admitted to" because the third person I spoke with became annoyed at my asking (a surefire tell if there ever was one). I just shrugged and said, "No matter, I'll get it at Amazon"

...and left a cart of stuff for them to put back ;')
