Copper plated AR-15
« on: September 09, 2014, 11:01:45 AM »
I thought this was pretty cool.  Someone copper plated an AR receiver and paired it with a stock made out of English walnut.  It gives the rifle an old school look while still being the Space Age AR-15.  It looks like something from a steam punk convention.

Looks really neat, but I'm not much on bling. Everything I own is utilitarian. It's a tool to use not look at.

Something like that could be used for special occassions, otherwise the flash might attract unwanted attention...by special situations I am thinking of course of firing squad duty for high-echelon traitors.

I like this idea.

I am thinking of Patton's design for a tank uniform too...shiny football helmet, bold brass buttons...

I think there definitely needs to be a certain poetic quality to it.  I also propose a modification of the old "Ready...Aim...Fire" cadence.  I think the following is more appropriate:

Ready
.
.
.
Aim
.
.
.
To each according to his need!
