Caught some second hand low information local news and they seemed quite excited about what looked like a partial moon to me.  I'm like, OK.  This happens every year.  In a few weeks these same excitable low information journalists will be warning us not to walk on the inch thin ice.  It happens every year...

I didn't see it, but have noticed the full moon seems bigger than usual the past couple of nights.

It never ceases to amaze me that...a) people do truly stupid crap and b) people try to stop them from completing their Darwinesque exit!
