I believe the backstory is that the Kurds caught the guy and detonated something big under his car in order to deal with the explosives that were in the car...hence, the car flies up into the air and then the stuff inside the car goes boom. That there was a camera set up, in advance, to capture it as it happened is sort of a giveaway in that regard. So, the guy probably wasn't in the car when it was flipping end over end up to about a hundred feet off the ground. And that's too bad. He almost certainly faired worse at the hands of the Kurds.

I can tell you that there would have been more than one in there if someone like me was in charge. I would have stuffed them in like one of those clown cars at the circus. Why waste a perfectly good explosive ordinance on one guy?

Yes, the Peshmerga know how to deal with scum, they've been doing it forever, Iraqis, Turks...whatever.  Ask anybody who has been over there who their best ally was and they'll tell you - the Kurds.  Right now the territory they control is the only place ISIS/ISIL/Daesh is not having any success.

Unleash them, and Daesh is toast.
