Obama is a Conservative/Republican
« on: October 21, 2014, 10:02:59 PM »
Yeah, that claim is being made
as if you needed another reason to abandon anything calling itself republican.

Oh and Obamacare is the brain child of Romney and the Heritage Foundation..so  you see using government to force people to buy corporate products is a "conservative" idea.

Whatever.  Anyone who thinks this is an appropriate use of government power should be shot as a traitor.  I don't care what letter you put next to their name.

Up is down. Black is white.

They have a name for that sort of thing...

Related: What's new is old plus there's nothing new under the sun.
In a doomsday scenario, hippies will be among the first casualties. So not everything about doomsday will be bad.

Here we go -

This is more an indictment of the republican party and movement conservatism than an endorsement of Obama’s policies.

Warmongering, expanding the police state, and crony capitalism/corporatism is apparently what Bartlett considers the core values of the republican party.

No wonder we poor rubes in flyover country can’t be bothered to support this party.

Got that right!

How many times have we said "Hmm, I dunno, not sure this is a good thing to put into place, somebody worse comes along (Oh, hey, hello Obama!) and we'll regret it!"?

Perhaps not enough.

Anyway, it would not have been a problem if the vast majority of Republican's: a) Stayed true to Founding Principles, b) Fought to the death for those Principles, and c) purged all the centrist/moderate/liberals from their midst as soon as they surfaced.

On that latter point, just because some state sends Senators or Representatives to Congress who are centrist/moderate/liberal does not mean you cannot relegate them to the crappiest committees and the back of the chamber!  Playing nice = being a chump to be played.  It is the chief cause that led to incrementalism and the slow death-march leftward!!!
We are now where The Founders were when they faced despotism.

This is where voting for the lesser of 2 evils gets us.
