You Didn't build that
« on: October 28, 2014, 08:25:02 AM »
So Hillary attempts to walk back her statements that Businesses don't create jobs.
Quote
“The Republican alternative is a discredited economic theory that will hurt middle class families,” Clinton said. “So-called trickle-down economics has failed.”

“I short-handed this point the other day, so let me be absolutely clear about what I’ve been saying for a couple of decades.”

“Our economy grows when businesses and entrepreneurs create good-paying jobs here in America and workers and families are empowered to build from the bottom up and the middle out — not when we hand out tax breaks for corporations that outsource jobs or stash their profits overseas.”

You see - "Trickle down" economics  (by which I can only guess she means SUPPLY SIDE economics - there being no such economic theory as "trickle down") is  where large sums of capital are RISKED  to start businesses, build factories, and do research   and  successful ventures  provide opportunities for employment for people without the spirit for skills to take on those risks, -- which is exactly what she is talking about when she says "Our economy grows when businesses and entrepreneurs create good-paying jobs here in America and workers and families are empowered to build from the bottom up and the middle out " -- because you see those are the people STARTING the "corporations"...  So she is advocating what she says is a "failed policy"
And then the complete hack refuses to acknowledge  Democrat's polices  ENCOURAGE outsourcing labor overseas by advocating LABOR TAXES (like Obamacare) that make hiring that labor more attractive  to those " businesses and entrepreneurs" who create jobs. Democrats also advocate a hire corporate  Tax Rate  than even most countries in Socialist Europe.. and that too encourages businesses to move overseas.  And she is talking about removing " tax breaks"  for these corporations ? They are doing what they are doing because the Democrats have already imposed taxes and costs on them that are too high and make doing business in America more difficult.

So back to the age old question":  Is she a lying pandering bitch who knows what she says makes no sense at all, or is she just that stupid? I'm going to go with BOTH.

Yes, it's both.

That "Trickle Down" quip IIRC came out of the Mondale camp, all he did is get his ass kicked, so...if she wants to latch onto a loser idea I say go for it.

Anybody stupid enough to fall for her bullsh*t deserves the bite in the ass they'll get from this rabid she-wolf.

I remember fond memories of asking my libiot friends back in the day when they trot that lione out..."So, tell me, how does that 'trickle up' sh*t work, anyway?" and follow it up with "It doesn't work, LBJ tried it with the Great Society handout of trillions over the years...has poverty been eliminated?  Nope, it gets worse, why is that?"  Their answer is to spend more and dump it into the FSA trough, our answer is to end it and tell people how to fend for themselves.

So far free sh*t is winning, anf the Prog's keep pandering to it because they have no other choice.

Cannot wait for this crap to crash...the demonic scheme has to fall and fall soon.
We are now where The Founders were when they faced despotism.

I don't think it's either Weisshaupt. I think she made a deliberate, calcualted, outrageous comment that she knew would get all kinds of attention, so that she could come back and "be perfectly clear" about what she has been "saying for a couple of decades". If she would have just uttered her Leftist class divisive pablum it would have hardly been newsworthy. But get the media riled up - conservatives attacking and liberals defending - and then offer it, it makes a great segue into what she's going to be preaching on the stump, with a whole lot more attention drawn to it.
"A strict observance of the written laws is doubtless one of the high duties of a good citizen, but it is not the highest. The laws of necessity, of self-preservation, of saving our country when in danger, are of higher obligation. To lose our country by a scrupulous adherence to written law, would be to lose the law itself, with life, liberty, property and all those who are enjoying them with us; thus absurdly sacrificing the end to the means."

Perhaps that was the plan, but what  she is stumping in her clarification makes even less sense that her attempt to jump on the Warren/Obama Cult "You didn't build that" bandwagon. More people may end up hearing "what she has been saying for years"  but I am not sure that will help her.. not with the base, and probably not with uninformed  America because the first statement is the OPPOSITE of the second.

I guess it may allow her to play both sides depending on what audience she talks to ( I was for it before I was against it) .  All of Democrat campaigning is wink, wink, nudge, nudge "I can be more flexible after the election"  innuendo to the base - who will always complain that the Democrats are doing going left far enough in their attempts to bully and rob their fellow citizens.

I agree. For a libtard, any publicity is good publicity.

"Arrogance and ignorance in equal measure" - it's what I've been saying about her for a coon's age.

Face it, she's ham-fisted. Look at that original video. She's bored sh!tless and doesn't want to be there. She has zero finesse and less political savvy. No doubt she'll surround herself with driven ideologues like Øbongo did with valjar 'cuz she doesn't know which way is up.

Of course it doesn't matter. The drones will vote for her if it is so-ordained.
