What about these Crazy Wrong Polls?
« on: November 05, 2014, 01:08:36 PM »
Larry Sabato, the numbers guru at the University of Virginia, says that the numbers in polling were so wrong there needs to be an investigation.

Quote
“I want an investigation of the polls in Virginia,” Larry Sabato, a political scientist at the University of Virginia, said on “Fox and Friends” Wednesday morning.

“They were completely wrong, just as they were in Georgia. They were also way off in Illinois, and I could go on and on. Boy, is that an industry that needs some housecleaning,” Sabato continued.

Examples?
In Virginia, Warner was up by 10, currently leading by .6%.
In Georgia, Perdue won by 8 points, polls had him at 3.
In Kansas, Roberts won by 11, polls had him behind Orman by 1.
In North Carolina, Tillis constantly trailed by 2-4 points, won by 2.
In Arkansas, Cotton beat Pryor by 18, polls said he had a seven point lead.

It's all in the way the response is weighted. Something is wrong here and Sabato may be on to something.

More:

Republican Larry Hogan beat Lt. Gov. Anthony Brown in a race that Real Clear Politics called a tossup and Five Thirty Eight determined he had a 6% chance of winning by surprising 9% margin. (A late poll commissioned by Hogan – and ignored by Five Thirty Eight – had him up by 5.)

Another one is Mia Love in Utah.   Most polls had her losing again,  even Fox News had her trailing all night,  so I was surprised this morning when I found out that she actually won!

Is it just me or did she miss an opportunity for a career in porn with that name?

Seriously?  Who does the polls?  ;)

There is no "error".

I think you are dead on. One polling outfit, PPP,  is in NC. It is commissioned by Democrats all the time in order to get the result that they want. Two years ago, it was commissioned to do a poll and when the results came back unfavorable to the client, PPP refused to release the numbers to the public.

In addition to  the polls being skewed, most likely on purpose to  depress voter turnout, how bad would the results have been if there wasnt massive voter fraud?
Anybody else read the book "'if its not  close,  they cant cheat."'? This concerted effort to defraud the  process will likely be swept under the  rug since the results were "good enough"is  my guess.

Yup, all of the above is part of the system the Left has created and the right pooh-poohs but allows to stand in the end.  We've been saying there are two rule books a long time, one for them, one for everybody else...the one for everybody else is on the public books, the one for them states the one for everybody else doesn't apply to them...but that other book would NOT have existed had there been resistance to it, resistance in terms of no-limit retribution...but those are just more of the thousands of hills the Pubbies refuse to fight on.

Just like we cannot end the demonic scourge of Islam without first ridding ourselves of progressives at home, we cannot take on the progressives at home until we either take over the GOP from within (an abject failure thus far) or find a new vehicle to advance out cause while letting the GOP die on the vine.  All of this subject of course to ticking time bombs in the economy, society and the world at large...but it doesn't mean it isn't worth the effort with the time we have left, consider it practice for future endeavors.
