The Democrat Party, as currently constituted (super hard leftism bordering on marxism), cannot win elections.
Please remember that Obola did NOT run on his real agenda. The only thing that he said during his 2008 campaign that even hinted at what was to come was that bit about "fundamental transformation" which the low info people and the media ignored.
Please also remember that his one signature "achievement," DumbassCare, was promoted with the lies 1) that everyone would be covered, that is, have health care, 2) that it would be either free or cheaper and 3) that it would be better, more efficient, etc. The reality (which was delayed until AFTER the 2012 presidential election) was that 1) everyone isn't covered but merely has access to healthcare coverage, 2) that it was neither free nor cheaper...quite the contrary, it was grossly more expensive and 3) it was not better or more efficient. But by delaying the onset of these "features" until after the election Obola was able to help himself get re-elected and shove all of the negative effects of DumbassCare onto the poor saps who had to run in 2014.
The media has not been able to cover for him in the last two years like they did in the first four. They wanted to. They tried to. But the shear number and huge scale of his blunders has just been too much.
So...where am I going with this? The central part of the Democrat conundrum is that they don't understand how they can win in presidential election years and lose big in the mid terms. They believe that everyone is just in love with them and especially their policies and that they just have to figure out how to copy the formula from presidential election years to mid term election years. Well, the truth is that 2008 was fraud interlaced with hype and 2012 was the media not delving into the reality of DumbassCare and it not being implemented until the election was over. The reality of the 2010 mid term was that it was a staggering number of people reacting to DumbassCare being passed in spite of having less than the number of votes in the Senate needed to do it (they used reconciliation to get it done with less than 60 votes after Scott Brown was elected to fill the Kennedy vacancy). And I think we all know why the 2014 mid terms turned out as they did.
But the Democrats can't see these things. They are absolutely positive that their policies are great and therefore it just has to be something else. But it isn't.
The anomaly isn't the mid-terms. The anomaly has been the last two presidential elections where despite overwhelming evidence that the Democrat candidate was a nincompoop he was elected by way of subterfuge and ignorance.
We can take solace in the knowledge that the Democrats will not change. The thing is that they have NOT bottomed out yet. Until they finally hit bottom they will continue on in denial and nothing will improve for them.
