Cain dominates New Hampshire

Herman Cain appeared with four other potential 2012 presidential candidates in New Hampshire for a presidential forum sponsored by Americans for Prosperity Foundation.

...

1) Before Cain: A paper poll run at the Concord Tax Day Tea party listed all the known contenders, and collected 300 ballots, about half of which were in before the keynote speeches had been heard, and thus largely reflective of pre-existing preferences:

17% Pawlenty
16% Cain
13% Paul
--% Trump / Bachmann
--% Santorum and Others...
<1% Roemer
("--" signifies ranking reported, but not exact percentage)

2) After Domination: A text message poll run by AFP to rate the most effective speaker of the four candidates present received 975 responses and showed a striking jump:

62% Cain
17% Pawlenty
14% Santorum
  7% Roemer

There is something wrong with this poll.  What about Bachmann and Romney?

This when we have to be careful. The most important part is the begining when we get to find out who they are because as time goes by they may start to change positions on issues.

Now I'm thinking Trump does not actually plan to run. I just can't imagine anyone who seriously intends to run for President giving a speech laced with vulgarities. It's almost as if he felt safe doing so because he knows he's not actually going to run, and that he's accomplishing what he wanted to do by being a general instigator and playing off the ambiguity surrounding his intentions.

I could be wrong, I just don't think anyone could seriously conclude that being the "Happy Gilmore" of presidential candidates is a winning strategy.

If he does run he's lost the Ross Perot vote and that's a relief.
