Gutter?  Sure.  But they'll argue you have a problem with the truth and keeping it real, because well, that's their world, their truth.  And swearing aside...it's less about that and more about a fundamental lack of respect, for ones self and those they interact with, especially women.  But the latter are not innocent either, I noticed probably 40 years a go a shift in suburban white girls who were getting very potty-mouthed then...it's just accelerated since with hands-off parenting and "pop" music and "pop" culture that is more base and crude, more "flavored"...more "gutter"...

But, it is for the younger generations to sort out among themselves...

most of my peers 30-40 years ago thought I was too straight laced (one coworker once made fun of me and proudly told me nothing offends her--of course I didn't get a chance to tell her it's not about be offending so much as choosing what I want to reside in my head--I choose the good, the true and the beautiful)....well my way of living doesn't result in 12 year olds discussing or singing about things that even adults shouldn't be singing  or discussing in public.....

A few years ago, I had to stop watching the tv show "Sons of Anarchy".  The first seasons were must-watch tv and by the final season, it just got to be too much.  Then there was "The Vikings"; same creator, (Kurt Somebody-or-other), same themes -- it was Norwegian Sons of Anarchy.

As you wrote, I just didn't want any of it in my head anymore.  I have gotten even more exclusive in my viewing to the point where Gunsmith is having difficulty finding something we can both watch, which says a lot about what is being put out there.

Anybody besides us happen to notice that vomiting is now in almost every tv episode/movie?

There is "little" I can watch...Sister & BIL keep talking about I'd like this or that show...pretty sure I would have an issue with something...

Leftists always have to infect everything...inject their dogma, their abnormal beliefs and sop to the deviant fringes of society.  Don't know how many times I've started watching something and then...oh, yeah...that kills it.

And when something good is produced, like The Mandalorian...they ruin it by gagging free speech and booting Gina Carano...so cancelled Disney+.

I cannot watch ESPN because those fools constantly kiss lunatic ass, obey BLM talking points and foster the gagging of free speech and the hate-fest against free thinkers.

Just the ads for that repugnant Chad show make me want to gag and I have to flip the channel to anything else...even a crass crony capitalist ad is better.

The re-branding of old classic characters with blacks because uhh slavery still exists or some such crap...the Black Jesus effect...send them all back to Wakanda!   

Same for women...past character was male...nope if not black...gotta be a woman...or a black woman.  (Groan)  I hear the new Capt. America is gay...umm, no thanks.  Not homophobic, just don't care for PC re-writes just to placate the fringe.  Bye!

It's all elevate socialism, elevate the fringe...destroy all others.  Especially our history, tradition and religion.

With Woke crap its gone into overdrive.  They've ruined shows, movies, sports...everything they touch turns to crap.  Honestly, I don't even look anymore and my live watching time has dwindled...and soon will likely to disappear.  At least I have some movies on disk I like...some old ones that would come with woke warning labels.  Should probably get some other older ones I like while I still can before they get burned with books.

I'm so glad I never got around to giving away my music and movie collection when everyone was going to the cloud or netflix or pandora or spotify or amazon prime etc.....

I just dug out my old iPOD the other day...still works and still has all my favorite tunes.....
