I see these things all day long when working on the east side...very menacing indeed!

Singapore for the rich.  Various places for the not so rich.  A lot of places you wouldn't need a gun, except of you're rich, and maybe a kidnapping target.  Most places in Asia you have neither Muslims, nor feral animals that roam in packs, common to American cities.  They're pretty civilized places.

The only countries I can think you're describing are Japan and maybe Korea. I'll stick where I'm at.

I can't think of a place, outside of the Islamic s**tholes, I wouldn't feel safer walking through, compared to American inner cities.  I might be holding onto my wallet, though.
