Runs through March 2017 so Obama gets everything he wants and any "new" POTUS gets stuck with it?  Check.

Everybody but the E-GOP & Progs effed hard in the rump?  Check.

Somebody help me out here. What's the use of a debt limit if they keep raising it?

And then we have this jewel....

Boehner is also putting the chances of his likely successor, House Ways and Means Committee chairman Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI)
58%, at risk. Ryan has indicated he thinks the “process stinks” on this, but is planning to review the deal in its entirety before making a decision one way or the other.

You also have to keep in mind that the debt isn't 19 trillion,  its actually 200 trillion when you actually add up what is already due and what will be due.

At some point,  the debt will go bad,  or more bad,  once the freewill printing of dollars ends.

House and Senate leaders were briefing the rank and file about the particulars of the agreement Monday night. Republicans familiar with the agreement are calling it a big win for the party. They say the tweaks to Social Security disability insurance would yield $168 billion in long-term savings, which supporters of the proposal say would represent the most significant revision to the program in decades.

The accord would lock in budget levels for the next two fiscal years. Spending would be increased by $50 billion next year, and $30 billion the year after — split equally between defense and nondefense spending. Another $30 billion-plus would go to the Pentagon in “contingency funding.” Congress would make several alterations to Medicare and Social Security to help pay for the package.

Only in the Land of Oz can you have savings, yet increase spending. ::gaah::

They took the IOUs from the Social Security "fund" and moved them to the SS Disability "fund".  Ta-daaa!  Saving and spending the same ......... IOUs.

They also expanded welfare state bennies to non-citizens too, and the Fed is only going to talk rates up, they are scared sh*tless to do it...and they are no longer getting any tangible benefit to easy money policies but they will still monetize debt as that is the only thing they can do.  And pols will keep bloating budgets and spending like drunken fools right till the end.

The system is headed for a massive catastrophic failure, it is the only out left...
