7PM Saturday, Big Ten Network, Prime Time.

Bring it!

40-35   ::facepalm::

Did we at least put a scare in Hawkeye Nation?   ::whatgives::

Now we have to win out against IL & WI just to get a shot at a crappy bowl...and after being beaten and battered by Nebraska, Michigan, Ohio state and Iowa...frankly if the kids rolled over and died from mental and physical exhaustion I couldn't fault them...

No, because Iowa always had the upper hand.  Unlike OSU, which did trail in most of their game with the Clops, Iowa only let the rodents play match our touchdowns, early, before always being at least one score up.

Looks like Iowa will be moving up.
Guessing Clemson, Notre Dame, Iowa and Alabama (in no particular order)

I think I said above that I think Alabama deserves to be there.
Hoping ND gets pounded.

They may be undefeated but overrated

Now that we're down to two undefeateds, they'll be there if it was today.  I have no problem with Alabama and Notre Dame being the two one loss teams.  Notre Dame's only loss was a close loss to Clemson and Alabama has been on a tear since losing one early.

Iowa jumped Notre Dame in the journalist polls.    ::thinking::

Yeah, we'll see where the playoff ranking goes though.

For AP it is Clemson, Alabama, Iowa, Notre Dame...with OK, MSU, Baylor, OSU, OkSt & FL rounding out the top 10.

If Stanford upsets Notre Dame it opens the door for OK if they beat OkSt on their home turf going into Conference Playoffs.  I wouldn't mind seeing that happen.  And I think if Mich beats OSU at home and MSU dispatches PennSt at home then MSU wins the East and plays Iowa for the B10, so Iowa's work isn't done...they still have to beat Nebraska on their turf and then beat MSU or OSU in the B10 final to stay in the NCAA playoff hunt...

The ACC still looks like a Clemson/NC showdown and the SEC a Alabama/FL match up, and the favorites look strong in both.

The keylogs for those outside looking in are Iowa and Notre Dame.

Well, one keylog down, thanks to Stanford.   ::thumbsup::

The Iowa/MichSt winner will likely be the #4 seed, but if MichSt wins creating a bunch of 1 loss teams politics could raise their ugly head again, look how far Stanford jumped in the rankings.  The Committee does its thing tonight, but I don't see Clemson or Alabama losing their conference playoffs so the only debate is who the 4th team will be, and it should be the B10 champ.

Good luck to your Hawks...I think you'll need it...MichSt seems to be on a mission now.

Personally, I'm glad there is college football. Sundays pro games were difficult to watch. Used to be the refs were fairly consistent, but with all the sacks called personal fouls and the wide range of pass interference calls, the game isn't fun to watch anymore.

Sorry for the Hawkeyes.
I thought they had it in a hard fought game.
I dozed off before the final drive and was surprised, to say the least.

So, the four are Clemson, Oklahoma, Alabama and Michigan State?

Should be.

Iowa may have been better off letting them score and save more time for them to do a final drive, but that is all hindsight and there is no guarantee even with more time on the clock they could have gotten it done, MSU tailback is just a Freshman but he was a beast.  NC got hosed on a phantom offside call on the first onside kick try that could have made things interesting, but shouldn't tarnish the fine effort Clemson made or the season they had going undefeated.  I would have no problem if the seeding is Clemson, Alabama, Oklahoma & Michigan State.

I guess we're just going to have to make due with the Rose Bowl.

Speaking of politics, moving MSU up to 3rd and dropping Oklahoma, didn't do MSU any favors.

Well, looks like the best two teams will play for the championship which is how it should be.

Clemson looked pretty good after making their half-time adjustments.

I don't see how anybody beat Alabama during the season.

If I had money on these games, mine would be on Alabama.
Touchdown favorite, they could p[lay a decent game against some NFL teams

Iowa and Michigan St played a good game between each other.....but were far outmatched on the field. If you watched Ole Miss dismantle Oklahoma St, you can understand how they beat Alabama. Ole Miss has around 4 first rounders on their team.

I actually thought the SEC, other than Alabama, was a little down this year...until LSU, Auburn, Miss St, Ole Miss, Alabama and Tennessee destroyed their bowl opponents. A&M did lose a close one and Florida was trounced because they literally had no QB's left to play. I guess I will reserve judgment because Georgia takes on Penn St in a few minutes, should be a good game.

I'm supposed to be a Penn State fan but my disdain for them is only surpassed by my hatred for Notre Dame.

It was painful watching Michigan State and Iowa.
Iowa, I understand.

The Big Ten seldom wins the Rose Bowl.
