...there are only two valid responses to this bullshat:

1) Insert a clause stating it is the official view of the United States Government that such a barbaric, sexist, racist, dehumanizing cult like Islam and it's absolute proscriptions for the conversion or execution for all non-Muslims is incompatible with any rational definition of a legitimate humane religion and as such is not subject to any legal interpretation or protection under any United States law as a valid religion.

2) Tell them to FOAD and introduce a Constitutional Amendment codifying the above.

I am reminded of the "Point Deer, Make Horse" essay recently posted.  It made the assertion that one of the fundamental aspects of the Left is that words do not have intrinsic meaning.  Words are basically just weapons they use to shame, cajole, and coerce others into doing what the Left wants.  Those words needn't have any intrinsic meaning, which is why they are able to spout off contradictory bullsh*t on a regular basis without being in a constant state of cognitive dissonance.

I think that's the explanation for this bill.  They can't possibly believe their assertions about Islam to be the literal truth, but they don't have to.  The whole purpose of this bill is to signal their moral and intellectual superiority over that reactionary Donald Trump and his provincial followers.

That's all it is.  That's all practically anything they do is.  The problem is the cultural destruction they wreak in the process.
