Dead tree media in Philly going the non-profit route
« on: January 26, 2016, 05:42:26 PM »
The Philadelphia Inquirer (along with the Philadelphia Daily News and Philly.com)  are going the non profit route (officially),  as they no longer earn a profit.    So I guess the morons think they can make a go of it as non-profit.   Whatever.

Though getting out of paying some forms of taxes will maybe buy some time.   I imagine it the main reason why.

Any bets on how soon they can start getting tax payer dollars (aka like PBS, NPR)? That may be the biggest reason.

This will merely sever any illusion that they not state-run propagandists.
We are now where The Founders were when they faced despotism.
