TSA ... follies?
« on: May 09, 2011, 11:27:07 PM »
On one hand we have this:

Quote
Crew members and passengers wrestled a 28-year-old man to the cabin floor after he began pounding on the cockpit as an American Airlines flight approached San Francisco, the third security incident in a day on U.S. planes, authorities said Monday.

The man was yelling unintelligibly as he brushed past a flight attendant about 10 minutes before American Airlines Flight 1561 was due at San Francisco International Airport Sunday night, Sgt. Michael Rodriguez of the San Francisco police said.

Turns out the "unintelligible yelling" was "Allahu Akbar".  The piece reports the "man" was taken away on a stretcher.  Because nothing screams insanity, as opposed to a war-cry, like islam, right?

And, on the other hand, we have this:

Make all the dirty/poopy diaper jokes you like.  This is a sign people are willing to submit to almost anything.

I will not submit.

Looks like a  "Government Changing Station" . With the arbitrary promulgation and enforcement of these new laws T.S.A.  should stand for "Tough Sh*t , America !"

You're never too young to be groped by the TSA!

Now there's a campaign slogan...

Jihadi? What Jihadi? I guess screaming "Allahu Akbar" isn't relevant to the story.

"A strict observance of the written laws is doubtless one of the high duties of a good citizen, but it is not the highest. The laws of necessity, of self-preservation, of saving our country when in danger, are of higher obligation. To lose our country by a scrupulous adherence to written law, would be to lose the law itself, with life, liberty, property and all those who are enjoying them with us; thus absurdly sacrificing the end to the means."

It's worse than denial. It's an active effort to misinform the American people. They know Islam is at war with us, but they don't want the American people to turn against Islam, so they lie.

There were four incidents last week of either flights diverted or as in Florida, pilots refusing to fly with imams aboard.  It's some kind of hysteria.\

is there such a thing as propaganda-through-silence?
this is complicity and can be seen as nothing short of subversive
domestic enemies abound

It may be oppression to you but actually they are simply establishing the new normal.
What was considered liberty twenty years ago will be incompressible to that baby as an adult.

@ the link:

[blockquote]Within moments Sunday, a flight attendant tackled Rageh Almurisi. Authorities do not yet have a motive...

...Federal agents are investigating Almurisi’s background. He was carrying a Yemeni passport and a California identification card, authorities said.[/blockquote]

How stupid do they think we are? Do they really believe that if they just utter the phrase "Authorities do not yet have a motive" that we'll all just go, "OK, nothing to see here..."?

Better titling on my part would've helped.

It's not like these clowns scream that for any old reason...like say as they run to the head grabbing their privates...they scream it when they are about to do something dangerous...dangerous to us specifically...and this jihadi jackass was screaming it as he charges the cockpit...

Motive?

"You voluntarily surrender your 4th Amendment rights as a condition of participating in air travel"

That's the general argument. It's an incredibly insidious, dangerous rationale that is becoming widespread. Is there any activity that can't be subjected to arbitrary conditions in this manner?

Ask a pointed question like that of a Ruling Class schmuck and you'll get a bunch of bureaucratic gobbledygook for an answer!

An honest answer would be "increasingly, no"!

My answer?  I'll point to Dan's avatar!
