Another Nefarious Milestone - More Fedcoat Bureaucrats With Guns Than U.S.M.C.

(1/1)

Libertas:
Open the Books found there are now over 200,000 non-military federal officers with arrest and firearm authority, surpassing the 182,100 personnel who are actively serving in the U.S. Marines Corps.

Sad.

IRS?  EPA?  DHHS?  SBA?  NOAA?  ED?  NIST?

Shame!!!

The Founders would not be tolerating this kind of dangerous stupidity!!!

It's a really bad situation,  and its getting worse.

No agency should have its own LE.   And frankly we need to merge all the many LE agencies and downsize it all.

Yeah, why does the Dept. of Education need armed agents (forgetting for a moment why do we need the entire Department)?  Why can't these agencies make use of a dedicated armed agency, like the US Marshals?

Libertas:
That's not how police states work...

First you have to create large bureaucracies over many decades, then you have to expand their reach and increase their budgets and grow them to a large enough mass where they cannot be easily shut down or trimmed, then you need to make sure the purity of the personnel are loyal unto the state and it's leadership cadre...this is the step we've been witnessing in recent years...now the expansion of arms and militaristic material to non-LEO agencies continues to grow...

That's how police states are built...
