“In today’s society which is a violent society, you do not touch the student.

That should be left up to the administration,” said Rena Honea of Alliance-AFT. “I believe that that is for the safety of number one the students, but for the individual teacher as well.”

Please, go look at the disgusting pig of a union bureaucrat who had the unmitigated nerve to utter that piece of of self-serving tripe over the issue of a teacher standing by and doing nothing while one kid repeatedly struck another in the head in class.

Wow, another tale from the reeducation camp...

Jeepers Cripes!  There is just so fricken too much wrong with this story!  Screw liability issues, unions and district policy and all that rot, adults should control children, period!  Second, wtf is this other kid letting another punk smack him around?  Defend you damned self, put that trash on his ass!  And where are the parents?  Does everybody in this country have their head up their ass?

Teacher groups responded by saying intervention is a “tough call,” as school districts don’t always compensate for injuries in breaking up fights.

School administrations not backing up teachers allowed unions "in the door".   School administrations would not defend teachers if a parent took them to court, period, no matter the merit of the case.  The union gathered more members because they would provide legal assistance than any other reason.

This occurred at the same time litigation became a fad, the 1960s.  If school systems had "backed up" the teachers unions would not have been accepted.

. . . Does everybody in this country have their head up their ass?

Judging from the 2008 results, bout 52 percent.
The problems we face today are there because the people who work for a living
are outnumbered by those who vote for a living.

The student who put the video up on YouTube faces disciplinary charges as well because using a cell phone camera in class is prohibited.

AAaack!!!  How would such an attack ever be verified without video?  It's not like the teacher would possibly lie if he was sued for negligence/abrogation of responsibility.

I got flak over this opinion (elsewhere)  but I am right and they were wrong.

If you choose to be a policeman you are obliged to occasionally put your life on the line to protect the public. If you don't like it - find another job. If you choose to be a firefighter you are obliged to occasionally to put your life on the line to protect the public. If you don't like it - find another job. If you choose to be a teacher you are obliged to maintain order in your classroom. That means putting yourself at potential physical risk. If you don't like it - find another job.

When I had kids I verbally did to a teacher what that bully was doing to his victim. I traumatized her because she refused to stop students from assaulting my daughter. When the principal tried to scold me for my behavior I asked her if she would like some too. How friggin dare they deign to demand respect when they allow such blatant and brutal disrespect in their midst.

This is so simple I'm surprised the dhimmis don't get it - if you surround yourself with thugs and encourage their thuggish behavior you will get (wait for it) more thuggish behavior. If you don't wish to recreate scenes from "Lord of the flies" you have to man up and control the environment.

One of these days morons like these will learn personal responsibility. Or they'll continue to do it the dhimmicrat way - abdicate your personal responsibility and watch your society dissolve around you.

Generations of kids have been programmed since pre-school that "violence is never the answer", "violence doesn't solve anything", "violence is always wrong", "go find an adult" (i.e., defer to authority...lot of good that did...sort of like "call the police"). When you combine this continuous stream of banal admonition with actual school policies that reinforce the brainwashing by routinely punishing students for defending themselves, this is what you get. It carries on into adulthood and explains much of the craven, fecklessness of the population.

Now, the true natural born predators of course remain unimpressed by all this bleeding heart nonsense. For all their many faults, natural born predators have an innate sense of the Law of the Jungle, and programming the rest of the population into sheep only makes it that much easier for thugs to do what thugs do.

You are right and they are wrong.  On all counts.

Furthermore, for several reasons, I'd like to smack the living sht out of people who keep insisting children need be sent to government schools in order to "get socialized".

First, the phrase inadvertently speaks to the truth of the indoctrination into socialism in schools today and the dolts don't ken that.

Second, children do not "socialize" each other, adults do that to children.  Without adults doing their jobs properly, what results is exactly what you've described above, "The Lord of The Flies" environment with the accompanying mentality of no respect for adults and none for themselves.  But they feeeeel good.

Lastly, the "children" that most concern these idiots are the ones schooled at home.  By their parents.  From whom they learn their "socialization" skills in the best way possible, and yet are not deprived of contact with other children.

Probably explains why the feral human population is growing more violent.  It's getting to be like Lions and lame Gazelle's out there...

We've been teaching boys not to be boys for a few generations now...another insidious byproduct of leftist reeducation camps and their willing accomplices in the home.  Apparently there are no real men to teach boys how to be men.

Fricken ridiculous!

It is the age of eunuchs!

Watch that video again.  I think there was something more nefarious going on.  Here you got the teacher and this kid standing deliberately sideways, just standing there, like he's been directed to be in that position in front of the class. Then you got the punk doing this boxer-dance around the kid while the kid remains still and the class looks on.  The punk punches the kid a few times in the side of the head and does some more boxer-dancing then stops.  Then the punched kid turns around as if to go back to his seat.

I think the teacher was directing the whole thing.

If that is true then the teacher should be canned.  Who is running this asylum?
