It's ZeroHedge. I didn't read the article, but let me take a crack at it:

This is clearly in opposition to reality, as even after the atomic bombs, the military leadership of Japan tried to pull off a coup when the Emperor finally agreed to surrender. And even if there were some backchannel communication about a possible surrender prior to the atomic bombs? Unconditional surrender was the only acceptable outcome. It's just the lens the ZH crowd view everything through, that America must necessarily always be the real bad guy, and that other bad guys were bad only because they were unwittingly manipulated by America. A lot of them won't even acknowledge that radical, jihadi Islam is a real thing. They insist it's all a CIA concoction -- despite 1,400 years of history that show how very real it is.
