Inhofe was very detailed about the photos that he and other members of the Senate were allowed to view. Inhofe was very clear that OBL was either: shot in the ear or shot in the eye socket. One of the pictures that have been released by the Pakis show an apparent relative of OBL shot in the head. (Here is the link, it's too early in the a.m. for me to post it)

Looks like he got a shot in the ear, similar to what Inhofe was describing. My observation is that assuming OBL was shot in the ear at close range as this above photo depicts, then clearly this was a kill mission.
