Time to end the madness...recognize an independent Kurdistan...let others do the work of stabilizing the region!

Time fo us to GTFO!

The Kurds are very pro-US.   Why?   I don't know,  its not like we have done much for them.  Ignored by our government for the most part.   If they end up changing from pro to not,  it will be the US's fault.

Yeah, so far our support has been soft and mostly (though poorly hidden) clandestine in nature.  How much patience they have left who knows...but they survived the Obama years and that in itself is no small feat...and neither the Turks or DAESH has been able to wipe them out...there may be one last chance...but maybe just the one.

Mark Steyn has a good piece here with good history behind it explaining the transition of Turkey from non-secular Kemalist to the Imperial Islamic State under Erdogan.

Preview of the coming attractions for a good portion of Europe in the next couple decades unfortunately.

Going from a statist socialist state to an islamic one is not that huge of a jump to be honest.   Elected in,  just like Hitler was.

Of course Europe will do little to slow the decline of both Turkey and itself.    Maybe Turkey could be broken up three ways,  but the secular section would still be swamped.

Our presence is no longer logical no matter how one looks at it...well, if people looked at it honestly...
