So the Dead Elephant Party continues to demonstrate just how much it doesn't get the mood of the country, or just how much it doesn't care about that mood.  Naturally our piece of sh*t Senators in NC are in favor of it.  In fact, one of them is the main force behind it.  These scumbags don't work for the people of their states, they work for the Chamber of Crony Commerce.

Quote
Thirty-one Democratic and Republican Senators are asking the Department of Homeland Security to maximize the use of blue-collar outsourcing visas so U.S. companies can import more foreign workers instead of recruiting, training and paying unskilled U.S. workers.
The bipartisan request comes three months after the shocking November vote pressured GOP leaders to slash the H-2B visa program from a one-year high of 264,000 visas back down to the long-standing level of 66,000 visas.
.
.
.
On March 6, North Carolina GOP Sen. Thom Tillis announced a bipartisan Senate effort to increase the supply of H-2B visas, saying;

Quote
Senators Thom Tillis (R-NC), Mark Warner (D-VA) and a bipartisan group of 29 other senators sent a letter to Secretary of Homeland Security John Kelly, outlining concerns that the H-2B visa statutory cap will be reached soon. The Senators requested the Department of Homeland Security to conduct an audit to determine the number of unused visas during the first half of the fiscal year, and also requested that any unused visas be provided to eligible businesses that have been unable to secure an adequate number of workers due to the cap.

We in NC have some primarying to do....   ::cussing::

And it should be pointed out that they are fretting about needing to increase the supply while this country has record low levels of workforce participation among working age adults.

  • I iz also makin a list. U on it pal.
Ditto on the needed primary-ing and "this country has record low levels of workforce participation among working age adults", but there is a problem with too many of the out-of work -- they don't want to work and they don't have to thanks to our "safety net".

Companies offering lowER-skilled jobs are going begging while requiring only three things:  1) pass the drug test; 2) show up every day; 3) show up on time, and if one does these three things, they'll train up on-the-job.  No, the money isn't great at first, but those that stick it out will often be offered medical insurance and the prospect of more money.

I hate pointing this out, but there it is, in my opinion.  Fixing this will require keeping the imported workers out and severely restricting the safety net entry for the adult able-bodied males of working age.

Yes it's a question of incentive.  We have incentivized not working for citizens, and incentivized working for non-citizens.  Why, it's almost as if this fits into some sort of plan....

The other part of the plan is to stall tax reform that could boost the economy as well as peoples prospects while also rescuing government health care for the DemonRats at a time when the consequences of the Obama blank check is coming due.

Way to go, Mytch!

I tell ya, if the E-GOP plan is to destroy themselves and rescue the DemonRats from extinction...they're effing brilliant!!!
