So apparently there is some rally set to take place in San Francisco called "Patriot Prayer" I have never heard of it before, but it sounds like a very mainstream conservative thing, like the Tea Party of circa 2010.
San Francisco is prepared for this assault of war veterans and grandmothers waving American flags. They intend to cover the rally site in dog sh*t. Since these are Leftists, there will probably be no small amount of their own sh*t, too. After all, one of Antifa's favorite tactics is hurling bottles filled with urine at their opposition.
I have to admit though, i have become weary of these "Patriot Prayer" type things. Walking around in 18th century costumes with tricorn hats and waxing eloquent about the Constitution, that is not cutting it. Even worse, a lot of mainstream conservatives seem more interested in condemning the "Alt-Right" out of some desire to not be tarred with the same brush. That was never going to happen. Anyone to the right of Chairman Mao is going to be called a fascist and have feces hurled at them by the Left.
The Alt-Right, for whatever faults it has, has brought a new energy and youth appeal to the political Right. I think it is wrong to try and establish these lines of demarcation, because doing so is an implicit acknowledgment of the Left's premises, which then leaves you with one hand tied behind your back in future conflicts. Mainstream conservatism has done that for decades, and that's actually the entire reason such a thing as the Alt-Right even emerged. People got tired of losing, tired of always giving ground, and appeals to decorum and civility no longer compensate for always being on the losing side.
