Indiana Governor Mitch Daniels: OUT
« on: May 22, 2011, 07:53:36 AM »
I for one am glad. Aside from the indications that he has squish tendencies, I think it is a reality (an unfortunate one IMO) that ascending to the presidency today requires more than ideas and leadership. It requires strength of character, charisma, oratory skill, and authenticity. Mitch Daniels is lacking.

Indiana Governor Mitch Daniels: OUT
"A strict observance of the written laws is doubtless one of the high duties of a good citizen, but it is not the highest. The laws of necessity, of self-preservation, of saving our country when in danger, are of higher obligation. To lose our country by a scrupulous adherence to written law, would be to lose the law itself, with life, liberty, property and all those who are enjoying them with us; thus absurdly sacrificing the end to the means."

I'm glad he's out.  I heard someone say yesterday, before he announced, that Daniel's style is similar to how Bibi mildly and factually took Duh Wun to school and 'that's what we need'.  I disagree; I believe we need a fire-breather.

Modern politics is no place for diplomacy!  That's SOP for heads of state, but in contests that crap will just get you mowed over.  I want someone who will take the fight to the Leftists and stay on offense 24/7!

Oh no, oh no, oh no! What will the elitists pundit snobs do without Daniels? Wait they still have Romney to carry upon their shoulders.

He's raking in the cash so he's gonna be a thorn throughout the primaries!

The media and the RINOs have to run through all these guys-- holding them up a great alternatives because they are so scared of Palin or Bachmann or Cain or West.

I am indeed concerned that this has the makings of another McCain't. Plus there's that whole time honored GOP tradition of awarding the nomination based on whose "turn" it is.

The Ruling Class turds had a chub for Daniels, so with him out I suspect we'll really start to see them coalesce around Romney now. It is unfortunate that we have to depend on such an imbecilic party. At this point I think it's time to dispatch our droids in search of Obi-wan, he's our only hope.

This may clear the way for Perry to take a shot at it.
