There is some strong speculation linking the shooter to a guy attending anti-Trump rallies and wearing a pink "pussy hat." I don't know if it's accurate, but they found a lot of commonalities like an association with NASA.
I am of the belief that this was another unhinged proglodyte like the one who shot Steve Scalise.
