Interestingly, the Cubans cut Duran lose and fired one of their own, with or without Russian insistence who knows...but the Russian's obviously were dicking with Oswald's visa requests for a long time and didn't seem eager to have him anywhere near Russia or Cuba...either because they knew he was a f**kup, or because they knew as a f**kup he could be used against them since they were already dumb enough to let him in once!

Ruby is often cited with all manner of reasons for snuffing Oswald...but the official record just chose to chalk his role up to enraged vengeance of a hot-headed nobody...
