At least voters could send her packing.   Seems to be so hard to unseat these morons.    Done in the primary so the seat doesn't become Democrat by default,  which is a big plus.

Especially when you realize that Lincoln lost his senatorial bid to Stephen Douglas because of the vote of the Illinois state legislature and not the vote of the people of Illinois. 
Cheney lost solely on the vote of the people of Wyoming.  Big difference there.
