« on: November 09, 2017, 09:01:44 PM »
'Magnum P.I.' Higgins actor John Hillerman dies at 84.   Played the stuffy english guy Higgins opposite Tom Selleck's Magnum.   Also played one of the Howard Johnson's in  Mel Brooks' "Blazing Saddles".   Retired 17 years ago from acting and went home to his native Texas.

"High Plains Drifter."

1973, man...long time ago.

I liked the old Magnum show...really campy for the period when you look at them now...thank God (I know others do!) I only have one functional piece of "Magnum shorts" around the house!

I liked the old Magnum show..

I can't remember when I stopped watching much TV. I did catch part of a Magnum episode. He woke up and was feeling bad for some reason (azz whipping maybe?) and went for a beer for breakfast.

I thought "This show has potential" and never watched it again.

Hung over, most likely.

I watched it until it was no more.  Young Tom Selleck, yum.

Now you sound like my wife and Kurt Russel (or Patrick Swayze). I've been forced to see almost all of their movies.

"Road House".

Russell never appealed; pencil neck.

Oh, but "Big Trouble in Little China", the "Escape" flicks and "Tango & Cash" were good fun.  BTILC probably my favorite of all those.
