Last weekend my brother and I traveled to another town to see a local bluegrass band we liked. We arrived a bit early and the bar was almost empty so we had our pick of tables. As we sat down one of a pair of scrungy looking guys loudly (to the empty room) exclaimed, "Fcuk Donald Trump! I'm going to shoot Donald Trump! And anyone who gets in my way!"
My brother helpfully replied, "Oh now there's a good idea! Why don't you try it so I can be the first one to put a bullet in your head!" The guy fusses and fumes but you can see that he's a talker, not a doer.
Then my brother turns to me and says, "I'm not packing, are you?"
I sigh and say, "Never leave home without it"
They finish their beers and leave without incident, and there were no more interruptions to our festivities. I just wanted to mention that even in the heartland there are kooks abounding.
