Easter 2018
« on: April 01, 2018, 11:15:48 AM »
Seems like with each passing Easter...the world goes deeper into oppression.

The values and traditions of my youth...are gone.

God should have placed me in this nation 200 years earlier...but he didn't.

I am a man out of time, but He put me here for some reason.

So, here I am.  Thy Will Be Done.

Happy Easter fellow IAL patriots, may you have joyous family gatherings and celebrate the Resurrection of Our Lord and Savior.

He is risen, indeed.

So we pray we also shall rise.  But there is much work to do before then.

The battle still rages.

Onward!
We are now where The Founders were when they faced despotism.

Have a blessed Easter everyone. Hold your loved ones close.
"A strict observance of the written laws is doubtless one of the high duties of a good citizen, but it is not the highest. The laws of necessity, of self-preservation, of saving our country when in danger, are of higher obligation. To lose our country by a scrupulous adherence to written law, would be to lose the law itself, with life, liberty, property and all those who are enjoying them with us; thus absurdly sacrificing the end to the means."

That's exactly what I did. All week end long. All of my kids and grandkids were here for most of the weekend. It was glorious and I'm blessed way more than I deserve.

I hope everyone of you had a weekend as splendid as mine.

Mine was (typically) weird.

I got "volunteered" to sub in a band that played a private party.

My brother calls and says, "Git yer gear - yer playin!"  I was busy playing couch potato does blogwarz and asked him what (the hell) he was talking about..

A friend of his has a hobby band and they had been hired to play a private party for someone's birthday. The bass player took sick and so my brother volunteered me (never mind that I hadn't played bass for more than an hour or so in the last 2 years).

It turned out pretty well. They played classic rock so it was (mostly) stuff that I knew. Two of the guys appeared put out by me...until we launched into the first songs and I demonstrated that I really did know what I was doing (or faked them out real good!)

I used my brother's Kala Bass: https://kalabrand.com/collections/rumbler-acoustic-electric-ubass/products/ubass-rmbl-fs
They look like a ukelee but sound great! Very easy to play and easy on the fingers.  Got lots of compliments and praise for the sound of the bass.

All in all an interesting time
