Apparently, in this video, the frigate is heading toward the bottom of the screen but does not have their transponder on.  The tanker Sola TS is heading toward the top of the screen with a tug right behind her. After the collision the frigate turns on their transponder and shows up as a NATO warship.   Some tugs later pushed the frigate to shore to prevent sinking.

Comments say the frigate veered to port (RIGHT on the screen) instead of starboard.

Another video from a link above, the link with the transcript. The Sola TS (radar blob heading up on the screen) and the frigate  (radar blob heading down) collide around 3:19 in the video below. The frigate apparently veered to port (right on the screen).

From the transcript, the the coastal maritime traffic center Fedje VTS, seems clueless as well.

Another google translated article. There was another near collision a couple hours before, perhaps not the same warship.
Also, updated photo of the NATO frigate.

Libertas:
Who's running that Norwegian warship?

Please note: The poster of this graphic is not making any implications that Dean Martin is a Norwegian warship commander.
