For personal reasons I won’t go into, Veronica saw a means of getting attention, and agreed to follow @Goatsred so that they could speak privately. She told him that she and Betty had incriminating Direct Messages from Rep. Weiner, a claim she now admits was false, and which she made without Betty’s knowledge.
This just isn't possible.
I know this because previous "God's truth" statements made repeatedly by liberals have set in stone the notion that children do not lie. Not ever.
Seriously, though, Weiner has really set
a lot of things in motion through his little social network goofing. I don't hold him responsible for the repulsive nature of Stack and (probably) Mike Stone...they are who they appear to be: pond scum. But I do hold him indirectly responsible for the treatment by the media of these underage girls. By choosing to "follow" people who he has zero information about he is being incredibly stupid and foolhardy. I do hold the parents of the underage girls directly responsible for this situation. Twitter states very clearly at the beginning of their TOS that the service is to be used only by persons able to "form a binding contract." That clearly leaves out minors. My one underage child has zero access to the internet for reasons of this nature.
So despite protestations by these liberal, Weiner-lovin' parents, it is they who are directly responsible for the treatment their daughter experienced online and in the media. The internet has never been a child friendly place and anyone who thinks that it is needs to have their head examined. They may as well let their child play with matches and gasoline and then blame the manufacturer of those products when the inevitable happens.
BTW: Gotta love the girls' names...Veronica and Betty. Do you suppose that they hang out with Archie, Reggie and Jughead?
