All things being equal...a bump-stock per se is not anything overtly threatening as restrictions go...but it sets a bad precedent...and the no grandfather aspect could be more inflaming that anything...

Either Trump is perfectly prescient in anticipating a legal challenge that strikes the ban down (which I always contend is one of those "too cute things that can burn your ass more often than it saves it" to trust in them!) or is about to commit the first overt act that alienates his base going into a re-election run.

I guess time will tell...

But, I don;t like it!

And not very confident of the Dread Traitor Roberts Court being Constitutionally correct on 2A issues...and while trigger-reset-cycle seems to negate a comparison to a fully-auto "machine gun"...such clear distinctions are no guarantee a bunch of robed punks won't flush the distinction down the drain...thus endangering anything with a trigger!!!
