I did not read the decision. it seems stupid to me but could have some sound reasoning. BUT saying the trees have no one to speak for them makes it sound moronic. National forests are not all that pristine compared to national parks. Cutting a path that wide does not harm 'the environment' unless you are a nut job. Except for the markers you would not even know there was a natural gas pipeline. I have one 100 yards from my house.
